Hello, We all experience tides in our lives, like the sea. Sometimes it is high tide and sometimes it is low. When we are feeling low, it can seem overwhelming and steal our joy. How are you feeling these days? Do you just need to talk with someone who understands and can work with you to get to high tide again?

My name is Youssra Saab. I am Lebanese Canadian with extensive experience in the mental health field. I have a bachelor’s degree in ECE, an MBA in Social Work and a social service worker diploma. I am registered with Ontario College for Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). I work with couples, individuals and families who are experiencing the impact of trauma – shame/guilt, low self-esteem, survivor guilt, relationship issues.

I believe that everyone is unique so our work together will be in response to what you need. I work from an intersectional lens, recognizing the role of gender, racism, faith, and social status on our lives. I am committed to working with people on mental health and wellness. I discovered my passion for this work at very young age, listening and offering support to my friends and family when they reached out to me. In 2006, I started on my journey towards learning about and responding to the mental health challenges of people, through volunteering with several agencies. This involvement enables me to engage with people from various walks of life; to learn about their lives and how I might be able to work towards enabling them to reach optimal mental health.

My specific passion and interest are to work with people experiencing trauma in its many forms. I would like to work with people who are struggling with grief, loss, abuse, and neglect. I want to offer them the tools and capacities to discover their resilience and strength and to empower them to wellness.

One personal note, in my free time, I like to practice selfcare and I am a coffee lover. Just give me a cup of coffee and, a good book! I am at my happiest when I am outdoor, in nature. Recently, I am enjoying using the gym, including lifting weights; this is my way of gaining control over my body and balance in my mind. And whenever there is a baby, you will see me playing and singing with them, I love letting my inner child out.

In our five sessions, we will work together to set your goals, build a plan to achieve them and assess your progress. I assure you that I will be 100% present in our sessions, and you will enlighten your soul and your abilities.

Contact me – let’s work together towards your best life!
